Association begins strengthening management consulting

JMA establishes the Industry Research Center
to specialize in market research. |

The Industry Research Institute is established
to conduct social environment and corporate management
research. |
| 1969 |
The Marketing Data System is created as
new division within the Industry Research Institute to
begin Providing market information services to subscribers. |
| 1971 |
The Marketing Data System becomes an independent
branch to handle an increasing number of subscribers and
is renamed the Marketing Data Center. |

The Osaka Marketing Data Center is established. |
| 1983 |
The Marketing Date Center becomes the
Marketing Date Bank (MDB). |
| 1984 |
The Industry Research Division and Marketing
Data Bank are merged to form the JMA Research Institute,
Inc. JMAR evolves into a new type of think tank/research
institute by integrating both research and business information
services. |

The Social Environment Research division
and Industrial Management Research division are established
to separately undertake research projects sponsored by
private and public sectors. |

JMAR establishes the Kansai Branch Office
to meet Osaka clients’ needs. |
| 1992 |
JMAR establishes a partnership with the
worldwide research organization Gallup Inc. and initiates
international research services. |
| 1995 |
GALLUP/JMAR Inc. is established as an independent
research firm through a joint-venture agreement with The
Gallup Organization, the world’s largest survey
research company. |

JMAR establishes a new section called “China
Business Development Support”. |
